Teaching and Accommodation
One way to learn English Language in London is to live with the teacher and have classes in the home before going out to explore London.
There are many advantages to living with an English Language teacher in London. You will not have to waste time traveling from home to school.
Also you can learn the English that you need to communicate in a natural way as you interact with an English family in your London home.
We offer accommodation at 55 Ickburgh Road, London E5 8AF, we have a double room and a single room available.
WHERE?
This is in North East London near the Olympic Park and the Olympic Stadium
It is in Zone 2 for transport, we are about 100 metres from Clapton overground station. To travel to Central London takes about 30 minutes.
There are trains every 15 minutes and you can use your Oystercard from Clapton Station.
WHO?
The house belongs to me, David King and my partner Doreen Anderson, she is a very hard working social work manager. We also have two daughters, Katharine and Lauren.
TRY LEARNING ENGLISH LANGUAGE A NEW WAY
As well teaching general English the traditional ways I have tried several new ways of teaching language and the learners enjoyed it and learned a lot about subjects they were really interested in.

The front of the house. The style is late Victorian, it was built in 1901. The bow windows and the tiled front step are typical of the style.
The sitting room. The fireplace is probably from the 1930's and I think the previous owner, who was a carpenter, built the wooden surround.
The sitting room again. It faces South and gets a lot of light. We have cable TV and wifi.
The architectural style of the house is unusual. There is an central open staircase through the middle.
The Bathroom on the first floor. It has a shower and a bath. Its large and is good for doing yoga : )
